English Enrichment Class for K2 – Curion Sprouts

Building Mastery for K2 English

K2 presents a crucial opportunity to prepare for primary-level writing and comprehension. In the Curion Sprouts programme, we focus on the thinking skills required to excel in primary school. These include: organising thoughts, expanding on details, connecting ideas, and much more.

How Our English Enrichment Class Supports K2 Learners

K2 is a pivotal year where children begin preparing for the reading, writing, and comprehension demands of primary school. Our English enrichment classes for K2 students focuses on helping children learn idea-buidling, reading comprehension, and confident expression in ways that feel structured yet approachable.

Each lesson is guided by an original story that anchors vocabulary and comprehension. Phonics practice supports the transition towards fluent reading, while movement-based activities help children internalise grammar naturally. Through story retelling and guided discussion, children learn to follow ideas, explain events, and speak with growing confidence.

These experiences work together to help children step into Primary 1 English feeling prepared, capable, and confident.

Each week’s storybook is accompanied by a detailed lesson plan, such as the one below:
